Before I Die Wall

About the wall

Before I Die Chalkboard walls will be available for public use around Gainesville and Alachua County from April 1st-30th. This is a global public art project aimed at inspiring conversations about our own mortality and the way we live our lives today. These walls serve as an interactive way to engage our community members, encouraging them to normalize discussions about death and dying. Our hope is that these walls will serve as a stepping stone to educating our community on advance care planning. Due to the novel COVID-19 virus we have made this a virtual event this year.
