Navigating a hospital stay can be overwhelming, but not at University of Florida’s Neuromedicine Interdisciplinary Clinical and Academic Program. This group works on an integrated basis with patients attending clinic or hospitalized in the neuromedicine and neurosurgery units. NICAP used its Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC) to institute a number of changes, including a patient-developed handbook to help patients navigate their hospitalization and recovery.
